Shredders

Explore shredding equipment for waste reduction, high-density baling, and secure destruction. Choose from Balemaster shredders for processing bulky paper and other waste, or Vecoplan systems for secure document and media destruction.

A single machine can provide a secure destruction solution for documents and other sensitive materials

Balemaster Shredders

1400 Series Quiet Shredder

Designed to reduce noise and dust during operation, the 1400 Series produces hand-size pieces suited for high-density baling.

  • Three 5¾-inch-thick solid-steel arbor shafts rotate at 20–60 rpm.
  • Available in 63-, 76-, 90-, 103-, and 117-inch widths.
  • Optional Core Feeder processes cores up to 5½ inches in diameter, with wall thicknesses up to ½ inch.
  • Touch-screen and PLC controls provide diagnostics and system efficiency tracking. Overfeed sensors trigger automatic reverse to help clear jams.

1200 Series Hogger

The 1200 Series uses cross-draft airflow to help reduce plug-ups and support operation using outside air. Its single hammermill-style arbor produces hand-size pieces for high-density baling.

  • Heavy-duty arbor measures 22 inches tip to tip and has reversible steel blades.
  • Available in 62-, 77-, 92-, and 107-inch widths.
  • Optional Upper Crusher Pinch Conveyor processes cores up to 14 inches in diameter, with wall thicknesses up to ½ inch.
  • A standard current overload meter automatically stops and restarts the conveyor feed belt when the overload setting is exceeded.

1000 PT Series Piggyback Shredder

Designed to mount directly above a Balemaster Baler’s charging chamber, the 1000 PT Series reduces bulky paper waste for high-density baling.

  • Drum-style arbor with integrated hard-tipped steel blades.
  • Available in 36- and 42-inch widths, with configurations up to 100 HP.
  • Can process up to 10 tons of waste per hour.
  • Integrates with the baler’s touch-screen and PLC controls. A steel-belted feed conveyor is normally supplied.
  • Suited for magazines, paperback and hardcover books, printer’s signature waste, and other materials.

Security Shredding

Vecoplan Security Shredding

Vecoplan single-shaft rotary shredders are designed for high-volume destruction of confidential documents, products, and storage media. Plant-based and mobile systems support secure processing at a facility or on site.

Mobile systems use a “dump-and-run” process and include material-handling equipment for loading and payload discharge. Shredders can handle documents and a range of storage media, including hard drives, CDs, DVDs, PCMCIA cards, and Zip disks.
